Granada
Hospitality Industry

Welcome to LodgingGuide's hospitality industry listings for the Granada area.

Granada is the largest city in the province of the same name, in the Andalucia region of Spain, and is the commercial and residential center for the Costa Tropical. The weather is perfect for the orchards that flourish along the Rio Verde. In the Spring, the Japanese medlar pear, called nispola, is found in the local markets, and seems like a cross between a peach and a pear. The prickly pear, called chumbo, grows wild on cactus plants and takes some skill to harvest and prepare, but is worth sampling in the fall. Guava, passion fruit, kiwi, carambolo, pomegranate, papaya, mango and banana are readily available in the summer months, and olives, almonds, figs and grapes also form the central ingredients of local products. The Sierra Nevada Mountains give the Costa Tropical its unique, rugged appearance, yet together with the buffer of the African continent just across the Mediterranean keep the weather gentle and sub-tropical year-round.
